Jag fick detta i mitt resultat. När jag söker på google så ser jag bara att man pratar om detta i samband med djur som har infektioner. Känns sådär. Någon som vet något mer?

General information
Bacterial vaginosis is the most common cause of vaginal inflammation in women of reproductive age and during pregnancy. It may lead to infertility, ectopic pregnancy, preterm labour and/or miscarriage.
The adult vagina is a complex ecosystem containing an abundance of microorganisms. In women of childbearing age this system is dominated by Lactobacillus species. In bacterial vaginosis the balance of flora is changed with reduced numbers of Lactobacilli and an increase in numbers of other species such as Gardnerella vaginalis and Atopobium vaginae. The determination of vaginal bacterial load is an assessment of the ratio between different groups of microorganisms and the normal vaginal flora. The total quantity of bacteria serves as an indicator of infection level in the vaginal environment.
METHODOLOGY
For the determination of bacterial load in the tested sample the following procedures were performed:
Extraction of bacterial DNA using the NucleoSpin Dx Blood CE-IVD kit by Macherey-Nagel.
Analysis by multiplex Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (Real Time PCR) CE-IVD kit.
The results of the test were interpreted, using an analysis typing software.
RESULTS
In the tested sample the microorganism Atopobium vaginae was detected, while Gardnerella vaginalis was not detected. The quantity of Lactobacilli was found to be reduced in comparison to the total quantity of bacteria. This change in vaginal flora composition is indicative of a vaginal infection. However, the infection is due to another unknown prevalent bacterial microorganisms (E.coli, Proteus, etc.) and not the tested ones
