irrajk sambo: Yes I think it is ok to write about my partners Mother on a public forum, I'm telling the truth, she has behaved in a very inappropriate manner towards myself and her daughter. I'm surprised that you see fit to speak for someone you have never even met before, someone you know nothing about. Irish people take Irish lessons in school. Funny that you claim to know so much about the Irish language, yet you clearly DID NOT understand the simple phrase I posted here a while back. I don't get on well with my own Mother, but I have a great admiration for her, again she is someone you don't know, yet you seem to think you know all about her! I have a number of friends in Sweden, with really high paid jobs, in their mid to late 20s, highly intelligent respectable, successful Swedes. Every one of these people voted for " the alliance ", just as I did ( local, not national electorate ). I can read/write and speak Swedish, but I choose not to because I spend 8 - 10 hours a day, 6 -7 days a week working with people in the USA, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Sweden and Finland. Given that there is such a wide variety of languages involved, it is mandatory to work in English. In fact when I started out working here in Sweden, I told the guys I work with in Stockholm that I felt my weak Swedish would let me down professionally, however all of them dismissed this notion because I work primarily with US businesses based in Europe or Swedish businesses based in the US. The only organisation in Sweden who have been reluctant to work with me are Försvarsmakten, that is perfectly understandable in my opinion, since the nations security is of the utmost importance and I am not a Swedish citizen. Sweden is a fantastic place, the people are warm, good humoured and very intelligent. At the same time there are morons here, there are neo Nazis here, there are criminals here, I could continue to go on talking about all these negative aspects to Sweden, but I choose not to, I want to continue to enjoy Sweden for the wonderful place that it is and the wonderful place I see it as. For the rest of my life, Sweden will be a part of my life because of my wonderful Irish/Swedish children. As they grow up I will always ensure that they embrace both cultures that they come from no mater what part of the world we live in.
