    Help to translate "stova"

I need help in the translation of Vargsången

    Vargen ylar i nattens skog
(The wolf is howling in the forest of the night)
Han vill men kan inte sova
(He wants to, but cannot sleep)
Hungern river i hans varga buk
(The hunger tears his wolven stomach)
Och det är kallt i hans stova
(And it's cold in his burrow)

I can not find the word "stova" in dictionaries. I hesitate that "varg" lives in the burrow. He is not like a fox. Could you give me please the explanation what means "stova"? Are there another examples of using this word?

Thank you very much! I agree that it is incorrect to translated single words. It is necessary to understand the meaning of the whole phrases and  the text. I have translated this song equirythmically into Russian, and agree that the most correct translation of stova is lair.

Jag blev lite sugen på att testa utan att köra ord mot ord:

A whimpering wolf in the dark forest,

Sleepless by a burning hunger and The chilling cold lair.

thou wolf, thou wolf, don?t come here, you?ll never reach my baby.

The wolf is howling in the dark forest,

    Howling in hunger and despair.

But I will hand him a pigs tail, that?s suited for for a hungry wolf

Thou wolf, thou wolf, don?t come here, you?ll never reach my baby.

The wolf is whimpering in the dark forest, but cannot find a prey.

But I will hand him a cockscomb, for him to save.

Thou wolf, thou wolf, don?t come here. You?ll never take my baby.

Sleep, my child, in your mother embrace, and let the wolf howl in the night.

But I will hand him leg of a hen, If I have some left.

Thou wolf, thou wolf, don?t come here.

    You?ll never take my baby.

Could you please give the swedish text of this? I see here twice more verses.

I have written two verses in Russian, but now I have to think about other verses.

Thank you for your comments. I shall investigate the copyright question and I can delete my translation and recordings if nesessary, it is no problem. I have already deleted two my translations - for Gallivarerallarna and Sjoman sluta dromma.

Thank you very much! Unfortunately, I had to delete my translation from the web because of the copyright. I do not know how I could get a permission for the translation.
